This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari gives you a raw jungle safari experience, as you move deep into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and this will change your whole experience of African Safari. You will be guided into the habitat of a selected gorilla family and once found, spend one hour among the mountain gorilla family understanding how they eat, communicate and live. Have a great experience of Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Uganda, it is also known as a place of many little birds. This experience in non-comparable to any other travel experience.
Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
On your first day of the 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari, you will be picked by your guide / driver from your location either Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park located in South western Uganda. It is quite a long drive of 8 to 9 hours but worth it because you get to enjoy the countryside scenery, some of the most beautiful nature’s images all the way to the Bwindi.
You will have an en route stopover at the Equator crossing for photographic and simple experiment before continuing to Mbarara town for Lunch. After lunch, you will embark on your scenic drive to Bwindi NP. Your guide / driver will definitely stop if you need him to so that you can capture that beautiful moment.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Lake Bunyonyi.
After an early breakfast you’ll transfer to the gorilla trekking headquarters for your briefing where you will be given guidelines for gorilla trekking and allocation of groups. You will also be assigned professional game rangers who will be guiding you through the gorilla trekking adventure. Trekking and finding gorillas can take up to 2 to 8 hours therefore carry some lunch with you. Prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi’s gentle giants, the rare Mountain Gorilla. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda.
Once the family of gorillas has been located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour observing them and after trek back to the headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate of participation. You will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer Entebbe Airport
This is the last day of your 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari, after breakfast you drive to Entebbe Airport or Kampala depending on your schedule with a possible stopover at Lake Mburo National Park depending on the time.
