TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The specified terms and conditions below shall apply to all our clients.

Execution of the safari

  1. Chimpanzee and gorilla permits are to be purchased 3 to 4 months prior to your safari unless otherwise which will enable you trek the primates but that does not guarantee that the animals will be in plain sight. A full advance payment of the permit fee is required in order to make the reservation.
  2. We cannot guarantee that you will see all the animals of your choice during the game drives since the wild species are not stationed in one area of a park. Always listen to your guides and follow the guidelines provided carefully.
  3. The prices quoted for the safari or tour includes accommodation, meals, park entrance fees, activity fees, ground transportation, and airport transfers where applicable and English speaking guide.
  4. Prices quoted to our clients maybe subjected to change and are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing. All tours and safaris will be booked and confirmed only upon receipt of a 35% deposit of the total safari cost.
  5. Prices quoted maybe subjected to change due to fuel costs, game reserve fees, or fluctuation of exchange rates. Should any clients refuse to accept adjustments, the company reserves the right to cancel the safari or tour and retain full payment attained.
  6. Bookings should be made within 40 days before arrival and must be paid in full at the time of confirmation unless agreed otherwise. If payment is not received as stated Fairend safaris has a right to cancel your booking.
  7. Payment can be made using a visa credit card, bank transfer or cash at least 45 days prior to your safari however, payments by visa credit cards attract a 3.5% service charge which is incurred by the client.
  8. The type of vehicle for transportation to be used will be dependent on the number of clients and the route taken, based on the itinerary. We ensure we use the best vehicles in good conditions but no liability can be accepted for a puncture, breakdown, damage, or any delay as a result of the poor road conditions.
  9. Guides / drivers are the only person(s) allowed to drive our vehicles, his / her decision of the route to use and time for the journey is final.
  10. We reserve the right to alter any route or arrangement, to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour or safari in the event of unforeseen circumstances like security concerns, bad weather, problems with a national park or hotel and road closures. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made.
  11. We reserve the right to subcontract all or part of the services agreed to be provided and we may  substitute equivalent or superior accommodation facilities if a facility of equivalent standard is not available we may substitute the next best quality facility or suggest superior standard accommodation which may incur an extra charge.

Cancellation of a safari

  1. We reserves the right to refuse any person from participating or continuing any tour if, in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority, the person concerned behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, hazard or inconvenience to any third party, damage to property or to environments and ecosystems. No refunds will be made and Fairend shall not be liable for expenses incurred as a result of the termination.
  2. Cancellation of a safari or tour will incur a cancellation charge as follows; 50 – 60 days or more prior to safari execution 15% charge will be incurred, 35 – 50 days prior to safari execution 25% charge will be incurred, 15 – 35 days prior to safari execution 50% charge will be incurred, 5 – 15 days prior to safari execution 70% charge will be incurred and less than 5 days prior to safari execution 100% charge will be incurred.
  3. No refunds will be made for any unused services, late arrival or no-show of any of the members of the tour.

Suggestions and Complaints

  • Suggestions and complaints must only be addressed to Fairend Safaris directly through an email or phone call or Whatsapp immediately, we will do the best to resolve the matter as soon as possible. If the problem is not solved to the client’s satisfaction, the complaint should be reported in writing and not later than 30 days after completion of the tour.

Safety

  1. Fairend safaris shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature whatsoever whether to person or property while on a safari. We are not responsible for the direct or indirect costs of loss or damage to baggage or personal possessions.
  2. Fairend safaris will not accept liability or pay compensation for unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the company or its staff, including flight delays/cancellations, wars or threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist acts, border closure, acts of government or other authorities, strikes, thefts, epidemics, road closures, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, extreme weather conditions, fire, technical and/or mechanical problems to transport and all similar events beyond the company’s control.
  3. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that you are in possession of all travel documents like passports, visas, travel permit, health certificates and any other documents as may be required for a specific country of destination.
  4. It is the responsibility of the client to take proper medical and practical precautions in regard to health and safety before and while travelling. Medical advice should be sought well before travelling and we strongly advise clients to obtain travel insurance before travelling.
  5. All clients must follow the country’s laws of a specific destination.
