3 Days Gorilla Habituation Experience

The 3 days gorilla habituation experience takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is home to half of the population of the world remaining mountain gorillas. Gorilla habituation is a process of training mountain Gorillas to live closer to people as they continue with their day-to-day lives, and this process takes up to 3 or more years. The process involves exposing the gorillas to prolonged human presence around them.

The gorilla habituation experience is different from gorilla trekking because you spend more hours, about 4 hours with gorillas compared to one hour of trekking. It offers more engaging opportunities to learn about the gorillas and the permit for this activity is $1500. Gorilla habituation is done at Rushaga sector and only 4 participants are allowed.
