The 10 Days of best Tanzania safari takes you to the northern circuit of Tanzania which is the most visited due to its amazing wildlife species. This safari will enable you to visit Tarangire National Park well known for its huge herds of elephants and baobab trees, and Lake Manyara National Park which is famous for tree-climbing lions and flamingoes. The safari will also take you to Serengeti National Park which is famous for its annual great wildebeest migration, you will visit Ngorongoro Conservation Area also known as Africa’s Garden of Eden. Detailed Itinerary
Day1: Arrival
A guide / driver from Fairend will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to a hotel. He will brief you about the safari and you may ask for any information you might need. In case you want to do some shopping, your guide will help you locate some malls. Relax at your hotel, refresh and wait for dinner and have an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast, check out of the hotel and your guide will be waiting for you for a transfer to Tarangire National Park. This park is located in the northern Tanzania circuit and is well known for large herds of elephants and boab trees. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and rest. Later in the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon game drive where you will be able to see some wild species. You will enjoy the sunset and later head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area
After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Ngorongoro. Upon arrival you will check in your lodge, have lunch and relax. You will later descend into the crater and visit Lake Magadi which is located at the center of the crater. You will be able to see many wildlife species around this area like buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, leopards and many more. After this game drive you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Serengeti National Park which is also located in the Northern circuit of Tanzania. It is famous for the great wildebeest migration and the Lion King Movie was based on this park. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge and rest.
Day 5 and 6: Game drives, cultural encounters and nature walks in Serengeti
The fifth and sixth day of safari will be spent in Serengeti National park where you will enjoy a lot that this place has to offer. You will be able to have numerous game drives where you will see a wide range of animals ranging from predators and herbivores. These can be seen in the open savannah grasslands including gazelles, elephants, lions, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, rhinos, and many more.
The areas around and within the park are shared by the Masai people who are pastoralists. You will be able to visit some villages to experience their unique way of living. They have preserved their culture and you will learn more about their tribe as you interact with them.
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
You will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and embark on the journey to Lake Manyara National Park. It is well known for tree-climbing lions and beautiful flamingoes. You will enjoy great views of the Rift Valley escarpment and be able to see wildlife species. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge, have lunch and refresh. You will have a small evening game drive and later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8 and 9: Game drive, natural walk and canoeing
You will be able to engage in many activities like canoeing at Lake Manyara where you will see many flamingoes. It is an alkaline and salty lake which attracts many flamingoes to feed from this lake. Engage in natural walks where you get up close with wild species in their natural habitat, these are usually led by armed rangers and experienced guides. If you are adventurous, you may engage in a cycling tour through communities near the park. You will enjoy at leisure.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer back to the airport or Arusha town depending on your schedule. That will be the end of your 10 Days of best Tanzania Safari.
