Boat cruising in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Boat cruising in Queen Elizabeth National Park offers a unique opportunity to explore the wildlife and scenic beauty of the park from a different perspective. One of the most popular boat cruises is along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. During the boat cruise, travelers can expect to see a variety of wildlife. These species include hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species.

The boat cruise usually lasts around 2-3 hours with three sessions, one in the morning that begins at 10 am. The second one begins at 1 pm and the other begins at 3 pm. This is a fantastic way to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings while observing animals in their natural habitat.

The boats owned by the Uganda Wildlife Authority charge $30 for foreign non-residents, $25 for foreign residents, and 30,000 for East African residents.

Private boats and boats charge differently, their pricing is determined by the owners of those vessels.

The best time to go for boat cruising

Boat cruising in Queen Elizabeth National Park is best done during the dry season which takes place from June to September and from December to February. During these months, there is little or no rainfall at the park therefore it is sunny and hot making the cruising more fun and enjoyable.

The afternoon boat cruises are the best since most animals draw near the water body to quench their thirst. Travelers can see very many animals and birds during that time of the day.
